Buddy Foy Jr. has been in restaurants since 1998. In 2013, he and his wife Jennifer opened The Château On The Lake in Bolton Landing. Buddy is French and Irish; Jennifer is first-generation Italian. The kitchen reflects both — French technique, Italian portions, and an American sense of welcome.

In December 2020, the family opened The Château Anna Maria inside the Waterline Resort on Anna Maria Island. The Florida room added a Gulf perspective to the menu and a Southern interpretation of the brand. Their lives — splitting the year between New York and Florida — became the subject of Food Network's Summer Rush.
